Remember These Faces and Names – Anon Paranoid

Well the Republican Fascist Nazi’s once again showed their distain for the American Worker and America by blocking a bridge loan bailout to the Big 3 Automakers GM, Chrysler and Ford. They attempted to lay the blame with the UAW but in fact their real reason for blocking the help the Big 3 needed was to destroy the Union even if it meant putting 3 Million American Workers out of work and on the streets along with their families, while wiping out retirees pensions and medical benefits earned by those retirees.

So who are the main players in this Union Busting fiasco?

Well there is Senator Mitch McConnell (R-Louisville) and Jim Bunning (R-Southgate) Kentucky for starters.

First let us not forget that Senator McConnell voted for the bailout of Wall Street to the tune of $700 Billion Dollars. That’s right $700 Billion Dollars with no over site what so ever. He did not even ask any of those workers to take pay cuts nor did he tell the CEO’s to take pay cuts.

No way Jose, no way did he want them to hurt while they turned around and gave bonus’s to the CEO’s and dividends to stockholders at the same time they were buying other failing Banks and getting to write off the debt of those Institutions that were bought with Tax Payer Dollars. While at the same time those Banks did nothing to open up credit to companies needing loans to stay afloat and make payrolls or buy inventory.

Of course the other reason they want to destroy the last of America’s Manufacturing Sector, the American Auto Industry and break the UAW is because guess who owns a Automotive Factory in their State.

Kentucky is the home of Toyota so they answer to and support Foreign Countries placing them above America and American Workers. Also Senator Jim Bunning was the Senator who put a hold on a bill that would overturn a executive order letting presidential records be kept hidden from the public.

Next we have Senator Richard Shelby (R-Alabama).

He’s against any help for American auto industries, but doesn’t mind helping out Foreign Countries Auto Industries in his State as noted below.

From this wikipedia entry under Political Views.

“He does favor subsidies to foreign auto companies though. He had a leading role in attracting a Mercedes Benz SUV plant with a $253 million dollar incentive/subsidy package and he’s also proud of the Hyundai SUV plant, Honda SUV plant, and Toyota engine plant that received $400 million in incentives.”

And the one Senator who laid the majority of the blame on the UAW because they could not give a date certain when the Big 3 would be comparable in wages and benefits with the Foreign Auto Industries in Southern States since none of the other components that make up the American Auto Industry were present at the meetings is Senator Bob Corker (R-Tennessee).

Though he attempted to broker a deal I for one do not believe that he wanted to succeed in having one in the first place. After all Tennessee has Foreign Automotive Company’s as the other Senators who led the Republican Fascist Nazi’s to derail the bridge loan bailout that would have kept the Big 3 afloat while they worked on restructuring the American Auto Industry.

Companies like Nissan, Petersbilt Motor Co. as well as a General Motors Company with Volkswagen soon to join the list of Automotive Company’s building cars in Tennessee.

Read about it here.

Two other Senators who opposed the bridge loan bailout are Senator David (Diaper) Vitter (R-Louisiana) and Senator Jim DeMint (R-South Carolina).

All these Senators showed that they place Foreign Interests above the interests of America, the American People and America’s Blue Collar Workers. At a time when our economy is failing and Americans are losing jobs and companies are going under they show how little they care about the state of Our Economy or Our Country.

Over the last twenty eight years the Republican Fascist Nazi’s have Robbed, Pillaged and Plundered Our Country bringing it to the verge of Bankruptcy and turning Our Nation into a Third World Country while destroying the Global Economy as well by pushing over 541 Trillion Dollars in bad paper due to deregulation. These are not the acts of those who love Our Country and the Constitution we once had. These are the acts of Traitors.

One day the Good Lord will lift up His mighty sword of Justice and strike them down. He has a special place already set aside for them in Hell and I pray that it’s sooner rather than later.

So I say to you never forget the faces of those above or the names of those in this post. Remember how they put Foreign Interests before Our Countries and remember if you vote for Republicans your voting against Our Country. Never forget that.

Well researched and written, AP. You make many excellent points. I agree wholeheartedly that these senators were trying to bust the union and their actions are despicable. How they can chose to support foreign auto makers and ignore the needs of the American auto industry and the Americans who work in that industry is beyond me. How their constituents continue to support them is an even bigger mystery. I thought those southerners were so rah rah pro America; you know, the “real” patriotic Americans, as Sarah Palin liked to say. Once again they prove themselves to be hypocrites.

Good Morning everyone! It feels so nice to be sleeping all night….don’t ask me why its been so hard all year…What a year. I’m going to borrow Queen Elizabeth and say “Annus Horriblus”

    Anyway,

WELL DONE ANON-P! You amaze me sometimes. This is a very well written piece and thank you for calling out these less than patriotic nincompoops!

  4. Chef Sheila

Hi Nanny! What do you want to make for our Party at Anons!

I thought I would do seven layer dip, guacamole, Salsa, and then make all my own torilla chips. I relaly adore home made Tortilla chips

  5. nincompoops! Strong words there Sheila!

    🙂

  6. Chef Sheila

    lol I thought so!

  7. BevnTempe

Do these “outstanding” Republicans not realize that people in America are buying very few cars, even the Japanese autos made in the US, because the banks won’t give loans? Even these Southern-made autos will be in trouble because of the Wall Stress crisis and will be in the same situation as the Big 3 sooner than later.

Also, don’t they realize that members of the UAW and other unions they are trying to break can vote in the next election? These voters will definitely remember the individuals who were responsible for the loss of their jobs.

  8. Nannymm

LOL! I love that word. It was one of my mother’s favorite insults.
I’ll do something a bit more substantial like Buffalo Wings, Beef and Chicken Satay, and mini burritos. And for sweets, I can whip up some brownies and blondies.

  9. Nannymm

They will remember that it was the Repugs and will punish them generally just as they did these last two elections. But I guess the repugs are too stupid to make that connection.

  10. Chef Sheila

The GOP sure are making a play to rip the name of Rahm Emanual…..

Business as usual. I sincerely hope, as the Administration goes through this next year, the hands on both sides of the aisle begin to extend to each other. Because we need unity in order to bring the country back from the dregs.

Have the Republicans lost their minds that not even Cheney can inject reality?

  11. dnd

Great post anon-p. This thing has been nothing but political since day one. It makes one wonder why the MSM has been slow to pick up on that.

I agree with the conspiracy theory that they knew Bush would use TARP money to bail out the auto manufacturers so these senators could vote it down for political purposes and have a clear conscience.

  12. dnd

    Bev,
Great point. The northern auto manufacturing states will be solidly blue for a while, especially if a lot of people lose their jobs.

  13. Chef Sheila

    Oh! This is just sad….

Detroit Papers Set to Curtail Print

    http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122911296051802459.html?mod=googlenews_wsj

  14. dnd

BTW, there is no “American” auto industry. All of these companies are multi-nationals.

The issue to me is what will happen to the economy is three million people are suddenly put out of work in this down economy?

  15. Sad indeed Sheila. But lets be honest, when was the last time you went out and bought the print version of your local paper?

  16. Chef Sheila

Well, In Detroit, I actually DID buy daily. It was a pleasure. Here in the Puget Sound, I get to read the Tacoma Times. I actually love regional news and I love the feel of newspaper.

But I know its a dying breed.

However, the Detroit paper dying is just another result of a dying community because the Big 3 is going down. Too many subsribers are moving out.

  17. In all honesty I have mixed feelings on the issue. Making paper is so hard on the environment and not to mention what to do with the waste. On the other hand the tradition of a printed newspaper is one enjoy and it does employ a great many people.

  18. dnd

One of the things I miss about print media is taking it into the “library” to read during the morning constitutional. TMI, I know. But it’s not the same with a notebook computer. 😉

  19. That’s the nice thing about a blackberry dnd, very easy to read on the throne!

  20. Chef Sheila

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL You right TMI! However, there will be many a man who feels like you!!!!!

  21. dog's eye view

    TMI!

Let’s not forget that the lucky Mrs. Mitch McConnell (the second) is Elaine Chao, none other than GWBush’s Secretary of LABOR.

Lotta love for the working American in that house.

  22. dog's eye view

Has anyone kind of mentioned the McConnell-Chao marriage, in TV reporting? I think it’s kind of significant…

  23. dog's eye view

    Good post, Anon P.

The American Big 3 auto companies might not be sustainable, longterm.

However, it seems that giving them a bridge loan is cost effective in the current economic climate, and gives workers, management and local governments time to maneuver.

Retraining some of the auto workers for health care — and good jobs, a la nursing — not necessarily orderlies or nurses’ aides — would make a lot of sense.

But dumping a bunch of auto employees in a terrible market? And all the affiliated industries too? Trucking is taking it on the nose.

Can you imagine owning an auto dealership at this moment? Got to be harrowing.

Even if you’re not selling Big 3, very few are looking to take on car loans (if they can get them) or add to expenses in this economy.

  24. chefsheila

I don’t think so Dog. I’m sure everyone who knows about it just takes it for granted that Chao would have been discussing this with her husband.

    It certainly looks political.

  25. dog's eye view

Commenters on other blogs have noted that one of the factors that keeps nonunion manufacturers offering competitive wages is knowing that there are union shops elsewhere.

So: some of those foreign car companies’ employees might be watching this rather warily too.

Many of the companies share the same after-market and parts manufacturers, so economic trauma caused by one or two Big 3 failures will have serious repercussions.

    ======

I always liked how Obama pointed out the dangers of having such a two-track economy: the wealthy/connected, and then the rest of us. (Three track, I guess, if you include foreign holders of bonds, stocks and commercial paper.)

Greed is not good if it hollows out your middle class, as it has.

Too bad so many Americans are willing to be short-sighted, until the distress lands in their community too.

  26. dnd

The auto industry puts stuff together and has engineers who design stuff. Sounds like we could put these people to work building wind turbines.

  27. Good idea there dnd, not to mention the fact there is going to be a lot of high tech factory space sitting idle that I’m sure could be converted to other uses for the green economy. This could be a new revenue source for the auto makers.

  28. chefsheila

Lets hope the Obama adminstration has an idea that will lead to funneling the unemployed to jobs that fit their talents in some way.

  29. dog's eye view

I am sure that will come.

Wow. Not only does Obama have to put together a cabinet and review current government operations, and get inaugurated —

we’ve got the State of the Union coming up. I think we will hear some excellent ideas a la dnd’s comment at 11:57, and with dates certain for commencing the work. No more commissions or studying the deal.

The American public shows more sense than cable news and the chattering class:

    Obama Sails Over Scandal

“Public ratings of Barack Obama are unscathed by the scandal swirling around Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich’s apparent effort to trade off his power to appoint Obama’s successor to the U.S. Senate, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.

More than three-quarters of Americans approve of the way Obama is handling the presidential transition, up significantly from three weeks ago, and a slim majority in the new poll said the president-elect has already done enough to explain any connections his staff may have had with Blagojevich.”

factoid from article: 59% of Republicans approve of Obama’s transition work so far.

Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer will be the new Chair of the Democratic Governors Assn.

Colorado Senator Ken Salazar is the #1 pick for Sec of Interior if he wants it.

So once again, I’ve lost in my fantasy cabinet picks…

  32. Caroline Kennedy to Seek Clinton’s Senate Seat

Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of an American political dynasty, has decided to pursue the United States Senate seat being vacated by Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York, a person told of her decision said on Monday.

    Cool!

  33. Obama team: review shows no inappropriate contact

WASHINGTON – An internal review shows aides to President-elect Barack Obama had no “inappropriate discussions” with Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich or his staff concerning the search for a Senate replacement from Illinois, a spokesman for the presidential transition office said Monday.

But spokesman Dan Pfeiffer also said the office won’t release details of its review until the week of Dec. 22 at the request of prosecutors “in order not to impede their investigation of the governor.”

  34. Nannymm

That’s what I expected. Obama is way too smart to get involved in Blagojevich’s pay to play schemes. So is Rahm. And it’s no surprise that Fitzgerald would want more time before any report is released. The investigation has to proceed unimpeded, no matter how much it annoys Joe, Mica, and the other talking heads. And annoy them it will! 😈

  35. Nannymm

    This is depressing news.

NEW YORK — A rash of attacks against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people across the country — including the severe beating of a New York man whose attackers believed he was gay — suggests the number of reported assaults could rise in 2008, an advocacy group said.

  36. Very depressing indeed, and enraging too!

  37. It’s official: Barack Obama elected 44th president

Electors gathering in state capitols across the country have pushed Obama above the 270 electoral votes needed to win, according to a tally by The Associated Press. Obama takes office Jan. 20, becoming the nation’s first black president.

I like Caroline Kennedy a lot, and think she’s very serious about public service. Plus she’s written some excellent books on the Constitution.

That said, the scions of political families going for seats — one of Mario Cuomo’s children is also interested.

I don’t think we are well served by a hereditary congressional aristocracy.

Although, the other side: you do not want to deny Caroline Kennedy a chance to run.

Maybe the internet, which enabled Barack Obama’s fundraising advantage, will help level the playing field in time.

  39. I think Andrew Cuomo has come out for Caroline.

  40. dog's eye view

Josh Marshall finds something to praise about our lame duck president. Quick (physical) reflexes.

“On a totally unrelated note, I was genuinely impressed by the president’s quick ducking response.”

  41. dog's eye view

yeah. I would vote for and support Caroline Kennedy, were she running from Virginia or any other state. And she will make an excellent senator, with a good grasp of the issues.

But this business that it’s such a help to have a political pedigree and the ability to raise gobs of cash. More so now than ever.

Says a lot about what’s wrong with our system.

    Brian…

I hope things go well for you tomorrow.
    ——————————————————————————

I finally got everything cleaned off the furniture I need to move so tomorrow I’ll start moving it. The TV comes sometime Wednesday and everything will be ready for it to be set up.

In the mean time I see that GORDO is still pushing his BS about Obama. And I would love to see someone, anyone take off their shoes and throw them at Bush here at home. Would that be wonderful or what?

Also on the news tonight Cheney admitted he was responsible for the Torture Policy and that he had no regrets about it. He has now admitted to being a War Criminal and Authorized War Crimes.

When will the International Community finally hold up to their obligations under International Law and the Geneva Conventions?

In the mean time we have this going on right now.

“AMMAN, Dec 15, 2008 (AFP) – A Jordan-based Iraqi rights group said on Monday it has filed 200 lawsuits against US former defence secretary Donald Rumsfeld and American security firms for their alleged role in torturing Iraqis.”

    http://suzieqq.wordpress.com/2008/12/15/iraqi-group-has-filed-200-lawsuits-against-rumsfeld-and-american-security-firms-for-torture/

So how long before we see them all in the Hague or even American Courts is what I want to know. I sure hope its soon.

Better yet would be to see Our Newly Elected President Obama label them all Enemy Combatants under the Power of the MCA of 2006 arrest them and send them to one of Our Foreign Prisons to interrogate them and get confessions using their own interrogation techniques they approved for use against detainee’s in Our Custody.

    God Bless.
