  1. My brain just isn’t working today, lets all just dance the day away!

Dance the day away? Sounds like a plan to me!

As for Burris, not so fast. Reid’s office is denying it.

Here’s a brief bio of Sanjay Gupta.

If I remember correctly, he saved a US soldier in Iraq when he performed emergency brain surgery on the injured soldier. He was there as a medical correspondent when the soldier was brought in. Since no other neurosurgeon was available to perform the surgery and the soldier was unlikely to survive long enough to be transferred, , Gupta scrubbed and operated. That impressed me. No doubt he is a doctor first and foremost and a damned good one.

Correction: According to WaPo, Gupta performed brain surgery five times while in Iraq, including operating on a two-year old Iraqi child.

Hi to all of you – a belated Happy New Year! Back in town after spending 12/29-1/2 in Death Valley, CA. Amazing place. Even tho’ I live in the desert, DV was entirely different and very beautiful. The place was packed! I would definitely recommend it during the winter months. Never in summer! Also brought back a great head cold. Should have stock in Kleenex.

One thing I thought I would never say as a resident of Tempe, AZ, — “Go Cardinals!”

    Feel better, Bev.

  7. Less than two weeks to go! The “cheerful idiot” is just about out the door. Unfortunately, he keeps giving great government jobs for his friends, so it may take awhile to clean out the Bush bureaucracy and the oder of BushCo. Yes, Bev, another “Go Cardinals” from Casa Grande.

  8. Ann Coulter’s “Today” Show Appearance Canceled, Rescheduled (UPDATED)

MUCH!! Although I’d preface each of those with an expletive.

    Amen to that!

  12. Feinstein Backs Panetta For CIA, Changing Tune

WASHINGTON — Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., the incoming chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said Wednesday she intends to support President-elect Barack Obama’s choice for CIA chief, Leon Panetta, despite earlier comments that she had reservations about the choice.

I have thought for several years that it would be very hard to rid the Govt. House of the Bush termite. I’d say the Pat Robertson crowd is now well into the woodwork.

Maybe Panetta gave Feinstein an offer she couldn’t refuse 😉
