I am sick of . . . . ~ BevnTempe

My computer hard drive that crashed – and it was a Mac, most Republicans, Dick Cheney, John Boehner, the CIA who lies everywhere and to members of Congress, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Rush Limbaugh, insurance companies, Dick Cheney, American Hospital Association, banks who don’t extend credit to people after accepting bailout money, companies that send jobs off shore or to Mexico, the bailout double standard of banks and auto manufacturers, Dick Cheney, “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” Chris Matthews interrupting guests, Notre Dame University and it’s commencement, The Pope, all Fox newscasters, the religious right, Kurt Warner, Karl Rove, athletes who demand higher salaries, the upper class who whine about maybe paying 39% in income tax, dieting, hypocrites, getting older but the alternative sucks, the rising price of gas, people who ask “how are you?” and then proceed to talk about themselves, crying or loud kids in a restaurant, Dick Cheney, 100 degree temperatures that will go higher.

You may not agree with everything on my list but I bet you can add to it.

But what do you really think about Dick Cheney?

Thinking on some additions to your list. Although it’s a beautiful cool day here, so not thinking too hard on bad dudes. Yet.

Donald Rumsfeld goes on the list. The PNAC (Project for a New American Century) “think” tank that brought us the Iraq War at any cost. That would be Paul Wolfowitz, Bill Kristol, Douglas Feith, their ilk.

People who lie as part of their job, and are hired for the skill. Dana Perrino. Ari Fleischer. Many Capitol Hill flacks. Scott McClellan gets a pass — he gets a conscience clause, but cannot take back one’s misactions.

William Jefferson of Louisiana and cretinous politicians of any party who use their office for personal enrichment. It’s called PUBLIC service.

Rude people who make a living off being rude. Don’t watch enough TV to name them, but you have your candidates.

In the “be nice to dumb animals” department: those who sincerely believe Obama is a secret Muslim set to destroy all that’s good about America. Particularly those who also consider George W. Bush and his administration to be patriots and good Christians to boot.

CEOs who need to be paid millions upon millions to show up for work, and then speak of their own and colleague’s sterling values and work ethic.

    Bev,
All that heat makes me prickly too 😉

  4. Bev your list is so complete I’m having trouble coming up with additions. But at the top of my list would be Barbara Bush, god I hate that cow!

Bev, you are on a roll! Two great posts back to back; I’m impressed!
Brian, I’m with you on Barbara Bush; she makes my skin crawl.

Now for my additions to the list:
Cold weather in May, Joe Scarborough and sidekick Mika, all repug strategists, Norm Coleman, my damned repug congressman John McHugh, news people who think they have to present “both” sides to every issue even when only one side is valid, and Dick Cheney (did anyone mention him?)

Can I amend my list to include Casey Anthony and the “Octomom” and everyone who mentions their names?

Cannot believe I’m linking to Hot Air here. But — on getting Sarah Palin’s PAC to help retire Hillary Clinton’s campaign debt:

here’s Hot Air’s Allahpundit on the story. Found it via Andrew Sullivan’s website (he’s vacationing but his guest blogger Chris Bodenner linked).

    http://hotair.com/archives/2009/05/19/too-weird-to-check-palin-advisor-wanted-her-to-donate-to-hillary/

The pertinent part of the story, per Allahpundit (which Sully blog picked up):

“Believe it or not, the most important part of this story isn’t the Hillary scoop but the stuff near the end about how desperately Sarahcuda needs help managing her new national profile. This is what I meant the other day when I said it bodes ill that so many party insiders seem to have given up on her; some of you sneered at me for that but it helps to have practiced hands on your team who know how to deal with this sort of thing.

What happened to Fred Barnes and Bill Kristol and all the other GOP bigwigs whom she charmed before she was named VP? No help for Sarah from Alaska now when she needs it?”

    =====

and — a PUMA speaks in the Hot Air comments. From yogi41:

“Consider this. I read many of the pro-Hillary blogs out there, and many are still upset that she’s even in his administration. They support Hillary, but don’t like her helping out Obama. Surprising, too, there is a lot of good feeling towards Sarah Palin on those blogs. They admit they don’t agree with any of her policies, but they think she’s genuine and they trust her with the country more so than Obama.

So, yeah, a donation towards her debt would go far with Hillary supporters. Again, not from the PAC, but from her own pocket. I think she’d see that Hillary supporters would generously donate back to SarahPAC if they saw that kind of goodwill.

I think that’s what Coale was thinking…. he knows that there’s still a lot of gruntled Hillary supporters out there, and a donation from Sarah would return itself 100 fold.

For me, personally, I say no way in using the PAC money. If she decides to help her out from her personal wealth, then that’s a nice gesture. I know they both went through hell this last campaign and perhaps that shared experience does override party politics.”

More borrowing from Andrew Sullivan’s site! (With attribution. We ain’t the NYTimes.)

Another “Play it off, Keyboard Cat” with Bev’s favorite, Dick Cheney.

I am impressed that John King asked such a tough question, and that CNN put up the graphic.

Keeps John King off my “sick of” list, but only for a day or two.

    Take it away, Keyboard Cat.

I’ll tell ya one thing I’m really thankful about is Obama raising CAFE standards:

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090519/ap_on_go_pr_wh/us_obama_autos

This technology will be spread worldwide. The savings in oil will make for a greener planet. And we won’t be funding the terrorists.

  11. yep, today is a good day!

    Who woulda thunk it:

“Yet another Democrat in Congress is alleging that the CIA included incorrect information in its records about past congressional briefings on interrogation policies.”

    Remission.

Please let it be a lengthy one. Amazing news. It will be great to have Senator Kennedy back to spearhead healthcare reform.

And even greater to have him present and (please) in good health for its passage and implementation. Thwart Rush Limbaugh’s crystal ball on that one too.

  14. dnd

    Good news about Kennedy.

Health care reform will be on the table soon.

  15. dog's eye view

    I am sick of …

Senator Kennedy being gravely ill. Please let that remission be a lengthy and fruitful one, and allow him to be present for healthcare reform — universal coverage for American citizens, please — in its passage and implementation.

    Great news Brian.

    ======

In other news: National Enquirer reporting that Elizabeth Edwards kicked John out of the house 2 years ago on learning of his dalliance with Rielle. And he’s not back in her good graces. At all.

Wishing Elizabeth a remission too. That would be good.

California’s had another earthquake. 4.1, near previous epicenter.

  17. Interesting choice of pic for the White House to put up on the site:

Wow, that’s some list! When you get mad will you let us know?

Bev, we had a pretty good wind storm last night down here. I awoke to discover my 45 foot Acacia Willow lost about half of its limbs. I spent most of the morning sawing limbs and cleaning up. I then redid the sprinkler system around the “island” part of our swimming pool and adding eight gold and purple lantana. In the 101 degree temps, I lost about four pounds today. But, both jobs had to get done.

I hope you have a better day tomorrow. LOL!!!

Bev, here is my email: cragg327@yahoo.com. Let me know when you get a new email address. No, we didn’t get any rain yesterday, just some more wind. Tonight is our grandson’s graduation over in Eloy and we’re hoping the rain will hold off until after the ceremonies.
