Afghanistan, more thoughts ~ BrianInNYC

On the 13th I wrote on this blog that I don’t have a clue as to what we should be doing in Afghanistan.   Since that date the elections have taken place and I have moved closer to the position that our time in that country must soon come to an end.   By most accounts the election was highly flawed and many counts of fraud have been reported.   If history teaches us anything it’s that America is never well served by supporting illegitimate corrupt governments.  Afghanistan’s photogenic president sadly for the sake of his country has proven to be a colossal failure, giving the current state of affairs I’m beginning to think  it’s time to bring our forces home.
