Chauvinists Pigs ~ BevnTempe

I’m sure you’ve already read about this, but I just have to bring it up.  Seriously, what is it about Republicans?  We all know they’re the party of no, they don’t like Obama, they sometimes demonstrate racist traits, some are rude, and often they’re just plain stupid.  Now it’s obvious that 30 senators just don’t like women.  Thank goodness, 69 members of the Senate has voted in favor of Sen. Al Franken’s amendment to the 2010 Defense Appropriations bill that gives the government the right to withhold defense contracts (no small cash loans, either) from companies like Halliburton/KBR (not just that company) that deny employees from taking “workplace sexual assault, battery and discrimination cases to court,” according to Think Progress.

Our most Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) called it “a political attack directed at Halliburton.”  Those southern boys are from another time and place.   Of course, money is more important.  I wonder how he would feel if it were his daughter in the position of Jamie Leigh Burns.  It’s hard to believe that women senators/representatives are not embarrassed to be in the same party as the names below.  As “prize” for their vote against this amendment, they should all be forced to have a mammogram on their nuts.

For the record, here are the 30 who voted against the Franken amendment:

  • Alexander (R-TN)
  • Barrasso (R-WY)
  • Bond (R-MO)
  • Brownback (R-KS)
  • Bunning (R-KY)
  • Burr (R-NC)
  • Chambliss (R-GA)
  • Coburn (R-OK)
  • Cochran (R-MS)
  • Corker (R-TN)
  • Cornyn (R-TX)
  • Crapo (R-ID)
  • DeMint (R-SC)
  • Ensign (R-NV)
  • Enzi (R-WY)
  • Graham (R-SC)
  • Gregg (R-NH)
  • Inhofe (R-OK)
  • Isakson (R-GA)
  • Johanns (R-NE)
  • Kyl (R-AZ)
  • McCain (R-AZ)
  • McConnell (R-KY)
  • Risch (R-ID)
  • Roberts (R-KS)
  • Sessions (R-AL)
  • Shelby (R-AL)
  • Thune (R-SD)
  • Vitter (R-LA)
  • Wicker (R-MS)

Things are getting hot up your way nanny!

  2. Bev I saw this story on Rachel the other night and frankly my draw dropped. It’s funny how the GOP claims to be a party that protects liberty, unless of course it gets in the way of profits!

    Another Republican Fuck Up:
When North Carolina state senator Phil Berger (R) trucked a wheelbarrow stacked with Republican surveys into the governor’s office, he thought he was delivering a neat blow to Democratic Gov. Bev Perdue.

This race and the Jersey gov race really show how the GOP is on the brink of a full blow schism and frankly might now survive the next mid-term election if they don’t make any meaningful gains on the hill.

Great post, Bev. I’m all for giving those pigs a “mammogram on their nuts.” Wouldn’t it be fun to be the technician who gets to do it? LMAO!

A new study by Representative Anthony Weiner (D – Queens & Brooklyn), member of the Health Subcommittee and Co-Chair of the Caucus on the Middle Class, revealed that 151 members of the House and Senate currently receive government-funded; government-administered single-payer health care – Medicare.

On the list of recipients are 55 Republicans who have steadfastly opposed other Americans getting the public option, like the one they have chosen.

Weiner said, “Even in a town known for hypocrisy, this list of 55 Members of Congress deserve some sort of prize. They apparently think the public option is ok for them, but not anyone else.”
