As Billy Beane said in Moneyball, “The post-season is a crap shoot.”

    Happy birthday Hillary!

  3. Perry-Hutchison fight may cause major fallout in GOP

“There’s a civil war that’s happening right now, and it has long implications,” Kronberg said. “Nothing good for Republicans can come out of this. Everyone who is an active Republican understands that the losing side is going into exile.

“Neither side will forgive and forget.”

Roberta McCain, Sen. McCain’s 97 year-old mother hospitalized in Portugal:

I hope she’s ok, and props to her for vacationing in Portugal and staying in a two-star hotel. I wonder if Sen. McCain will now look at health care plans like Portugal which provides universal health care.

No crap shoot, dnd. The New York Yankees really know how to kick ass! GO YANKEES!

    Don’t hold your breath!

Well, they certainly got their asses kicked in 2001 and 2003 (last time they were in the series) by a couple of expansion teams. I don’t think there’s been an ass kicker in the Yankees since Billy Martin.

  8. It will be very cool to have the new house host the winning game of the series in it’s first year!

The Yankees have the best record in baseball, dnd. And they have more AL Championship and World Series wins than ANY other team in baseball. That’s kicking ass.

Ok, go ahead and root for a team who’s owner didn’t even bother to show up for the game. An owner who pleaded guilty to making illegal contributions to Nixon’s re-election campaign and felony obstruction of justice and got a pardon by Reagan. And owner who was suspended by the commissioner.

An owner who pushed for not sharing TV revenues, like all other major sports do, and thus ensuring the revenue to buy expensive players to defeat down-market teams.

An owner who threatened to move the team to New Jersey in order to extort the NY taxpayers to fund his new stadium.

ps. The Yankees only won six more games than the Angels, who were in a much tougher division than the Yankees.

Envy green is not a good color for you d!

Wow! You really have some issues with the Yankees, don’t you, dnd? Sounds like a personal problem to me.
May I remind you that Brian and I are die hard New Yorkers and nothing you say will stop us from cheering for our team. Baseball is a game; I don’t give a crap about the rest. I just want to watch some great baseball.
And one more thing, the Yankees BEAT the Angels in 6 games. So much for your “defense” of the Angels….
