I’m speechless – and agree with your sentiments, Brian.

  2. When you fuck with Bruce you’ve gone too damn far!

  3. nannymm

Hell yeah! No one messes with The Boss!

  4. Not to mention he is the sexiest man alive!

  5. Great performance by Bruce in this vid!

Fearing the wrath of the crowd here, I’m not a big Bruce fan. Saw him once with the E-Street band. Phenomenal show, but all his songs are about angst. I’m surprised that Beck hadn’t figured that out. Or maybe he’s just a professional polemic who’s staff spends all their time combing stuff to be pissed off about.

Roy Oberson was the best. The best. Hands down.

Beck is a head case!Yep,he’s supposed to love his country, yet trashes a national treasure like Springsteen, piece of shit.Really, what can we expect from a guy who is sick enough to call the President a racist.Damn, I’m just glad he’s not on Fox during the day as Grace listens non-stop while we work..

“Lesbian sgt. discharged after police tell military”

“Jene Newsome played by the rules as an Air Force sergeant: She never told anyone in the military she was a lesbian. The 28-year-old’s honorable discharge under the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy came only after police officers in Rapid City, S.D., saw an Iowa marriage certificate in her home and told the nearby Ellsworth Air Force Base.”

    “Newsweek’s Mission Accomplished”

    Take a deep breath.

“A U.S. commander has now publicly stated we may need combat troops in Iraq past the August 31 deadline, something Tom Ricks predicted weeks ago. (Though, to add, Marc Lynch isn’t worried.)

Wonder what Iraqi “victory” cheerleaders Jon Meacham and Thomas Friedman will say about that.

From “Victory at Last,” with Jon Meacham, the editor of Newsweek, going all out to rehabilitate Pres. George W. Bush, something that is becoming all the rage these days.”

  9. “I’m not a big Bruce fan. ”

I’m going to try and forget you ever said that, it will take me a while.

Bruce is a northeastern thing. That said, I think his greatest work was the “Seeger Sessions.” I’ve always been a been a big fan fan of Pete Seeger, so any tribute had to be good. Springsteen’s was really good.

  10. Bruce is a quality thing, not a regional thing, you don’t sell the amount of records the man has sold by being a regional sensation. He’s sold over a 120 million albums, as Tony said, he is a national treasure. After Bob Dylan he is America’s premier rock and roll singer.

  11. nannymm

Uh, oh, dnd! You really stepped in it this time. LOL
    Brian has a long memory.

Roy Oberson was the best. The best. Hands down

    Roy Kelton Orbison

  13. nannymm

Orbison was great, for sure. But Bruce is the best, IMO. I guess it’s a matter of taste, sort of like the old Beetles or Stones debate. For the record, I preferred the Rolling Stones. Still do….

  14. I preferred the Beatles but that doesn’t mean I don’t love the Stones! Obviously Bruce loved Roy too, this is a generational thing, some people just close their minds to new talent as they enter there sunset years!

“Like Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th, the public option rose from the grave this week (instead of slashing teenage victims, it would slash health care costs). With zero input from the White House, 41 Senators have agreed to support a public option via reconciliation. Ryan Grim lays out how that can easily become 50 — and Dick Durbin has promised to “aggressively whip” a health care bill that includes a public option. But Nancy Pelosi won’t include it in the reconciliation package. Why? She claims it’s because the Senate doesn’t “have the votes” — which could also be said about the House passing the Senate bill (Stupak, anyone?). So the Senate blames the House, the House blames the Senate, the White House acts as if it doesn’t have a say in the matter, and the insurance companies — lacking real competition — keep laughing all the way to the bank.’

Ha,Oh and special thank you to that fuck wit Beck.
I have really been enjoying all my Springsteen music since his trashing of Bruce,oh and I’m filled with American pride too..

    Nanny,
Glad your around, hope your all better.

  18. Nanny here’s that Amy Winehouse link:

  19. Stats Say Kucinich may be Least Valuable Democrat

it is Dennis Kucinich, who voted against health care, the hate crimes bill, the budget, the cap-and-trade bill, and financial regulation — all ostensibly from the left — in spite of coming from from the strongly Democratic Ohio 10th district near Cleveland.

    http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/2010/03/stats-say-kucinich-may-be-least.html

  20. nannymm

Thanks, Tony. It’s good to be back in the land of the living. 🙂

    Thanks for the music, Brian.

  21. nannymm

Kucinich is a joke; his voting record is appalling. He gives new meaning to the perfect being the enemy of the good. If it’s good, Dennis is against it. He’s caused far more harm than good with his rigid stance.

  22. Voting against the Hate Crimes bill is disgraceful.

  23. nannymm

I just don’t understand how he could vote against it, Brian. WTF is he thinking?

  24. “Because of that, House members like Dennis Kucinich of Cleveland, who support the hate crime measure but opposed the larger appropriation, voted against it, as did other LGBT-affirming Democrats.”

  25. tonyb39

“He gives new meaning to the perfect being the enemy of the good.”

Wow,i guess in looking at what legislation he has successfully sponsored in his career, not much,Nanny you nailed it..I like Dennis, but if you never actually get anything thing good accomplished, well your not much good.

  26. Tony this is what happens when you base your entire career in congress on running for prez.

  27. tonyb39

Beautiful day here, guess I’ll get my ass moving to the gym or i could just stay here with Bruce and jam..Nope,got a date with the stepper and a walk on the beach, omg, there’s so many spring break boy’s at the beach to gaze at,oh the pain….

  28. Why painful? Can’t you find at least one who’s interested in an old tart like you?

  29. tonyb39

Yep,Brian, that must be what’s happened! I agree with Dennis much on the issues, but how the hell does the guy not get he’s not going to be President?I know all pols have ego’s,but damn, eventfully your supposed to get real..

  30. tonyb39

    Brian,
These baby boys, are you kidding,i like the daddies!! Although,i have been seeing a little hottie 25 year old Latin dude,ha he likes daddies too,i’m not a daddy, but what the hell…

  31. nannymm

Have fun at the beach, Tony. And try not to think of us chilled and soggy northerners. 😀

  32. tonyb39

Oh and by the way,old tarts are a lot of fun, filled with experience and self confidence, you better get well and get to the beach, join us in the tarts club..

  33. I’m not a tart, I’m a lech, thank you very much!

  34. tonyb39

    Nanny,
Will do..Enjoy you all very much..Ha,Brian,you better walk the dogs, remember that from eon’s ago..

  35. tonyb39

“I’m not a tart, I’m a lech, thank you very much!”

    You so funny!!Bye bye..

This is a MUST read piece.

Justice’s wife launches ‘tea party’ group
“As Virginia Thomas tells it in her soft-spoken, Midwestern cadence, the story of her involvement in the “tea party” movement is the tale of an average citizen in action.”

  37. Like we need another reason to despise Clarence Thomas!

    More republican “naked” hypocrisy:

“House Majority Leader Kevin Garn announced Saturday he was resigning from the Utah Legislature, two days after revelations of a nude hot-tubbing incident with a minor 25 years ago and a payment to keep it quiet.”

“Five Things Obama Should Do To Be a Liberal Ronald Reagan”

” 1) Get health care done, and then explain to the voters what he’s been doing for the last year, and what’s in it for them. This is so elementary, it’s like Sarah Palin writing on her hand, but polls show the voters have no idea what Washington is cooking up for them, and they’re deeply suspicious. Legislation that affects a sixth of the economy deserves a full explanation.

    2) Talk to Hillary Clinton. Ask her how she connected with blue-collar voters during the ’08 primaries and racked up a string of victories against Obama. She was the kitchen-table candidate telling voters not to fall for the inspirational rhetoric. Hillary hasn’t always had an easy time connecting; she found the magic, and maybe she’ll share her secret.

    3) Do concrete things that connect with middle-class voters. Cash for Clunkers was a big winner. Cash for Caulking (tax credits for weatherizing your home) doesn’t have quite the same resonance, but it’s a good idea. More jobs bills that Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown can’t resist voting for would also be good; nothing grand, just lots of reminders for voters that the Obama administration is working for them. Oh, and skip the big rallies. They’re too much like a campaign. Look for smaller settings where Obama can rub shoulders with real people.

    4) Don’t forget Bush. One way to mitigate Democratic losses in November is to remind voters of what they rejected. That’s what Reagan did in ’82. His ace in the hole, says Brookings Institution scholar Bill Galston, was the vivid memories of the Carter years—the gas lines and hyperinflation, to which nobody wanted to return. “Why would we want to go back?” Reagan asked.

    5) Don’t cloud the message. However worthy climate legislation and immigration reform are, save them for next year. Retaining a Democratic majority demands a unity of purpose and of language that Democrats are unaccustomed to. This is Benjamin Franklin time, says Galston: they must hang together or assuredly they will all hang separately.”

Is there nothing these clowns won’t think of and then say? I laughed out loud when I read this. Bev I am sorry your state is producing idiots like this. May I now introduce JD Hayworth and his very weird stance on nearly everything. This one is about gay marriage.
