Is the Tea Party Siding with the Terrorists?

In Hooman Majd’s upcoming book The Ayatollahs Democracy, he states:

“Iranians,  both in the leadership and among the public, were as aware of Obama’s domestic struggles as Americans were, and ‘Tea Party’ was as well known a phrase in Tehran as in Washington.  Obama, increasingly under attack in the United States and his message of hope less resonant with an impatient public, was also becoming an easier target for Iran, his message of ‘change’ more readily derided.”

Or possibly the Tea Party members are just “useful idiots” for Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Thanks for posting Jim’s obit. What a good guy.

    Too soon gone.

On the way back from Yosemite; leaves just beginning to turn in the valley and it snowed on the Tioga Pass yesterday. About to see the Owens Valley for first time (think “Chinatown”).

C-Span has a terrific program on campaign finance after Citizens United decision.

Trevor Potter, John McCain’s finance chair for 2000 and 2008 runs, made some excellent points, gently, on how the Supreme Court — which he called activist — erred in their decision.

Will look for a transcript after the fact and post it, but catch the rebroadcast if you can.

Potter just mentioned “the gap between the Supreme Court’s view and reality”. He is very honest about the FEC not enforcing as the SC thinks; they cannot even get a rule together.

My only hope for repubs/t-bags winning offices is that they will screw up the place so bad as the 8 yrs with Bush. Perhaps the ignormamises (?) will get their heads out of that deep dark anatomical place and see that the Dems were doing an OK job.

The non-stop polls and the debates that the media broadcasts, change daily, perhaps causing some people to say “f –k the election.”

It’s sad to see that Angle, Paul, the guy in Colorado, AZ and other weiner-heads aren’t picked up by the proverbial “men in white coats” and taken away so they can’t harm anyone except themselves.

Short essay by Verlyn Klinkenborg, on happiness found in small things.

Treat yourself, and maybe stay away from political news all day.

It’s raining in Southern California today too. Awakened by thunder.
