“John and I are in our Dakota kitchen in the middle of the night. Three cats — Sasha, Micha and Charo — are looking up at John, who is making tea for us two.”

Two things to remember today, the death of John Lennon, and for those who aren’t practicing Catholics anymore, the Immaculate Conception.

I belong to both groups. I identify with John’s passing and all he gave us. He left too soon.

It’s one of those days we all remember where we were when we heard the news. I was in the very noisy student union at CU. When the news came out a hush fell over the crowd. A very sad time.
