What a surprise! Donald announces he won’t run for Prez. I’m just dumbfounded and I was so sure he would win the nomination and beat Obama.
    Yuck, Yuck.

I hope that Ryan loses to a Democratic challenger, propelled by Obama coattails in 2012.

Don’t know much about Ryan’s district, but hopefully it’s not territory that is just fine being represented by Michele Bachmann types and that ilk.

Ryan drinks his own KoolAid. No reason he should be a “serious” purveyor of it to the rest of us.

Oh Arnold, you just couldn’t keep it in your pants. But you did keep it a secret from Maria. How do you like being alone now that you told her. Did you expect her to stand up for “her man” like so many other political wives have done? Like Mrs. Edwards?

    Good for Maria for leaving.

The GOP candidate I fear the most is Jon Huntsman.

In the event he makes it through the primaries, which brings out the crazies, he could be quite electable in the general.

But, were he elected, you would still get the incompetent crazies in Congress and the government agencies.

About that time, I would be fleeing north or maybe to South America.

wasn’t it Cranky McPants that was pronounced done in the last cycle? Didn’t he just keep on keeping on? Didn’t do him any good but he kept at it against all the prevailing wisdom. The Newt is done but he could just keep on plugging.

Gingrich loves the attention. And as we’ve seen is shameless and willing to do or say anything to get attention. He won’t get the nod, but he’ll be getting a lot of TV time.

Sean Holton (to the world)/Lardass Liberal (to us) is fighting a particularly virulent return of his brain cancer.

Here’s his blog; leave a good word if you so desire.

Kudos to UCLA and the the University of Louisville for this breakthrough.

LA Times: Small steps for paralyzed man, giant leaps for treating spinal cord injuries

subhead: A device helps a man paralyzed from the waist down make an ‘unprecedented’ recovery, taking steps on a treadmill and regaining other key functions. The treatment could potentially allow 10% to 15% of people with spinal cord injuries to regain some use of their legs.

“The treatment, devised primarily by UCLA neurobiologist V. Reggie Edgerton, is designed to activate a patient’s spinal nerves just enough to make them responsive to sensory signals coming from the legs. The approach, which Edgerton has been using in animals for nearly three decades, is like using a hearing aid to amplify sound.”

Tea Party rally in Columbia, South Carolina fizzles after Donald Trump cancelled his appearance.

Yes, South Carolina, home o’ the crazy and birthplace of the civil war.

They couldn’t rouse more than 30 alleged Tea Partiers, and only about 7 are pictured in the event photos.

At least this couple has their asses parked in lawn chairs, and not on Medicare-paid for scooters.
