Cain’s Mistake

GOP hopeful Herman Cain is now embroiled in a sexual harassment scandal.  One can debate if it’s true or how he’s handled it, but seriously Herman, it’s time to fold the tent and go home.  There’s nothing the press loves more than a sex scandal and you know they won’t let up on this until you go.  So go now.  Save yourself further embarrassment.  Please.

Sincerely,

your pal, Rick Perry.

AP story on Mark Kelly and Gabrielle Giffords’ new book, due out November 15.

In which we learn Rep. Giffords vows to return to Congress, and that her only spoken word for a while was “chicken”, which she shared with the elder Bushes.

I wish she could run for Kyl’s seat.

Hell, I wish Bev could run for Kyl’s seat.

    Posted comment 2 times – doesn’t work

3rd try – thanks Dog, but no thanks.

Good article about Arizona’s latest Republican takeover.

  4. Ben Casey, eat your heart out! 🙂

  5. TempeBev

Sounds like if the Supercommitte doesn’t accomplish what it is supposed to do, the Republicans already have ideas on how to save things that will automatically be cut.

For some reason, the blog won’t let me post a link the the article about AZ gov. If you’re interested, go to AZCentral and search Montini from 1 day ago.

Thanks – I knew there was something wrong.

well, it looks like our old friend Patsi Bale Cox has died. Chef Sheila said she had emphysema. I knew she was feeling poorly but she never disclosed to me the reason she had been in the hospital a while back.

Sad news about Patsi. Emphysema is an awful disease.
We didn’t always (ever?) see eye-to-eye, but I kinda liked the ‘ol gal. Especially her taste in music.

  9. Sorry to hear that. By the way please say hello to Sheila for me next time you correspond with her.

Thanks and have a great day.
PS: Unable to log into WordPress so posting as guest.

  10. Well I really can’t believe it. I left a comment over on Craig’s site stating I read about Patsi’s passing over here and when I just went back it was gone.

I didn’t say anything wrong or at least I don’t believe I did and the comment appears to be deleted. The only reason I can think of is because I mentioned that I found out about her passing on over here.

I hope that’s not the case. If so I would find that to be disturbing.

    Have a great day.

anon p I see two post by you unless you had others these are still here.

  12. Dooty…

Thanks, Craig said the comment got hung up by their spam filter along with Mad Mustard’s comment. I would hate to think that he deleted it since he has really never deleted mine before.

Well he did once, however it was one that I in all likelihood should never have posted anyway.

Late and have a great day.

  13. Well that’s really sad news about Patsi, sigh.

Very sad to hear that Patsi died. She could be a handful, but I rather liked her, and she was frequently quite decent to me.

A shame. Thanks for letting us know, Doots.

    Amen, amen.

Brian: get a second dog and lose the cigs. Now.

Have been thinking about Patsi a lot today. I’d always hoped to look her up when in Nashville one of these days. (Like I’m ever in Nashville much. Have logged three hours there in two years.) A drink or coffee; think dinner with an Obot would have been pushing it. But Patsi could be fun, and might have gone along with the idea for the hell of it. An unknown, now.

    Enjoy every sandwich.

Brian, with all the wonderful things that have finally happened in your life – job, new city, car – please make it complete and give up the cancer sticks.

  17. I’m touched by all your concern.

Re “Cain’s Mistake”: Cannot believe he’s running for president with that many sexual harrassment allegations in his history. (Yeah, never mind that he’s not qualified for the office: no foreign policy or much understanding of domestic policy — or real world economics — either.)

Waiting to see if he’s rewarded for it (Fox News program; lots of wingnut speaking engagements).

Is Herman Cain going to end up laughing all the way to the bank, or will this play out well for him (financially at least)?

How’s this for our ballsy AZ gov? Today is also the recall election day for the de facto gov, Russell Pearce.

I think she’s short the whole plate. Anyone see Herman Cain’s news conference from Scottsdale this afternoon? He does have a good delivery and is willing to take a lie detector. Just don’t quite believe him though.

  21. TempeBev

Yea. Russell Pearce recalled. Historical. First state senator inUS recalled!!!
