  2. How nice to have a holiday that encourages sloth!

  3. Well it looks like I’m going to Louisville after all, the job Dartmouth is looking to fill is not really the job I want.

  4. you will like Louisville, I think. good that you realized the Dartmouth job is not for you now.

  5. I’ve been told that Louisville is to KY what Austin is TX, Democratic mayor and city council. I guess I can leave my Obama 2012 magnet on the FJ.

  6. isn’t the U of K there in Louisville?

    • U of Louisville is, don’t know about u of k

Speaking of Universities, President Obama will be speaking at the University of Colorado Boulder in support of the federally backed Stafford student loan program. Republicans want to double the interest rates on the program. At first I didn’t understand why Boulder, as it’s in Colorado’s solidly blue 2nd CD. But almost 170k students in Colorado have these loans. I’m guessing this is comprised of students who’s parents live in all regions of Colorado and from out of state. Smart move politically. Colorado may go for Obama in 2012 like it did in 2008.

    Kentucky’s beautiful.

You’re going to see more of Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul than you’d like, though.

On the upside, you can vote against Mitch in 2014.

And you can call each senator and yell at their staffs, every single week, since you’ll be a constituent.

    Plus: horses.
