Ed Quillen: 1950 – 2012

There will be no more  posts from me stating: “If it’s Sunday, it’s my favorite curmudgeon, Ed Quillen.”  Quillen died unexpectedly yesterday at age 62.  Quillen had a flair for humorous satire and was a great Colorado historian.  He will be sadly missed.

D – sorry about the loss of Ed Quillen. I know you always looked forward to Sunday.

I know you probably picked up his age from news reports, but Ed Quillen was 61, not 62. His DOB was Nov. 12, 1950, putting him five months and a few days shy of his 62nd birthday on the day of his death. RIP, Ed.

    Oh no. How dreadful.

We need more witty and erudite writers, not one fewer.

Thank you for bringing his columns to our attention.

How sad. And 62 is way too young.

    Great.

And now Ray Bradbury is up there to entertain and fight with Mr. Quillen.
