Another F- minus for George Stephanopulos

Could someone explain to me what qualifies Liz Cheney to be a member of any press roundtable?

On Friday Stephanopulos let Giuliani get away with the comment about no attacks under Bush. Then, apparently not having learned his lesson, he lets Liz Cheney get away with her blatant lies. Maybe he wants her as a guest on GMA.

I wish I had the answer to your question, Brian. Liz Cheney is nothing but a mouthpiece for her lying, fear mongering father. She should not be given airtime to spout her crap.

What are his chances of winning, d?

I don’t have a clue Nannymm. I think he’ll do well from the metro Denver area and north of that. Lose Colorado Springs. The rest is a toss-up on how he runs his campaign and what kind of support he’ll get. At this time the two Republicans who are challenging are far right and loony far right, so that’s working in Hick’s favor.

There are 64 counties in Colorado and he needs to be spending a lot of time in every one of them, save for Denver County.

George is lame, Liz is stupid.

  5. Google Threatens Pullout From China After E-Mail Accounts Are Hacked

Google threatened to end its operations in China after it
discovered that the e-mail accounts of human rights activists
    had been breached.

The company said it had detected a “highly sophisticated and
targeted attack on our corporate infrastructure originating
from China.” Google says further investigation revealed that
“a primary goal of the attackers was accessing the Gmail
accounts of Chinese human rights activists.” Google did not
specifically accuse the Chinese government. But the company
added that it is “no longer willing to continue censoring our
results” on its Chinese search engine, as the government
requires. Google says the decision could force it to shut
down its Chinese site and its offices in the country.

I just switched the channel to CNN. It looks like a severe earthquake has hit Haiti. There are reports of extensive damage and loss of life. My prayers are with the people of Haiti; most of them have so very little to begin with. This is devastating.

  11. The News Hours opened with the Haiti story, apparently the presidental palace collapsed too, the quake pretty much centered around Port-au-Prince.

It’s hard to think of a country in the western hemisphere that is as poorly equipped to handle this as Haiti is. I hope we have already started to send aid down there. I know Hillary made a statement about this but I missed it. If anyone heard it, can you fill me in?

  13. nannymm

Me, too. It’s looking awfully grim.

I’m sure that she and the entire administration are on this, dnd. There will be no Haitian “Katrina” style debacle on their watch. Thank God we finally have competent leadership!

  15. I don’t know why everyone is surprised that George had Liz Cheney on after the so called screw up the week before.

Or that he has allowed lies over and over again by his guests.

Did everyone forget that good ole Georgie worked for the Clinton’s at one time?

There has been a pattern where on numerous occasions George has not called out the lies against Obama on his show.

Maybe now we will get a real journalist on This Week.

    God Bless.
